Free Medical Camp for Tourists

 

Various medical service services are provided by the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa students and staff. A medical camp was set up on the busiest day in Karbala, Iraq, even in the whole of Iraq, where millions of people gather in the small town of Karbala.

For the fourth year in a row, in service of the visitors of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu Al-Fadl Abbas’ Holy Shrines in the city of Karbala, the medical camps from the university of Warith Al-Anbiyaa receive the groups of tourists and visitors in Karbala, where several medical, therapeutic and first aid services were provided. The teachers and students equally participated especially from the College of Nursing at the university, in addition to providing ambulances in cooperation with the hospitals for serious cases.

No-Smoking Policy at Warith Al-Anbiyaa

We at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa are striving our best to decline a recent trend in smoking culture in Karbala, city. Although the initiative is recently limited to the university, we see our students as ambassadors of Goodwill and a Green lifestyle, and for that, we're highly investing in a culture of sustainability around and beyond our campus boundaries. Our No-smoking policy covering the whole campus helps materialize our enthusiasm into a sustainable culture for all of us.

Students Visit the Cancer Patients

A group of students from the university of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, along with the university’s officials visited the cancer patients in hospitals. Students particularly focused on pediatrics wards and pays special attention to the cancer patients there, students were eager to extend their support via the sustainable cause team, and students from the college of medicine are motivated to register their names for volunteering for free in the hospitals to give their share for a good cause.

The Annual Blood Donation Camp

College of Nursing at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa organized a blood donation camp on 30/11/2021 in Al-Ali Building / Basic Nursing Laboratory. The program was organized with the cooperation of the Health Department of Karbala. The university students and staff were encouraged to participate in the camps.

The event was met with great success, as we received blood donations from so many volunteers, including top management, Several names came forward especially from top management to donate blood for a good cause.

Students also showed active participation, which was admired by higher officials, and students were granted acknowledgment in the form of certificates and honorable mentions.

The university of Warith Al-Anbiyaa planned to organize such events on regular basis to promote a giving culture among its students and staff. This is the third event since the launch of the university, and we look forward to more such events in the coming years.

The university of Warith Al-Anbiyaa being a non-profit organization is also very active on many other social platforms for charities and donations, and blood donation was one of the small drops out of that sea of goodwill and societal impact being created by the university

Spreading Awareness for Health and Hygiene in Schools in Slums Areas

Students from the college of nursing visiting government schools in the slums areas to educate children about health and hygiene, for kids were at a high-risk pre-post pandemic.

Health and Hygiene Outreach Program

An awareness campaign in the holy city of Karbala is carried out by the volunteer team of the students of the university of Warith Al-Anbiyaa in order to spread awareness and the culture of commitment to preventive measures in order to keep everyone safe, with the support and blessing of the Presidency of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa.

The giving team of students of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa and in cooperation with the Police command of Holy Karbala carried out an awareness campaign and distribution of masks and health awareness pamphlets on guiding how to protect citizens and themselves from Coronavirus in the holy city of Karbala, this step came from After the team carried out an awareness campaign and distribution of masks to students inside the university.

Vaccination Campaign during Covid-19 Era

 

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa in cooperation with the Government’s Health Department, Holy Karbala is carrying out a COVID-19 vaccine vaccination campaign.

Based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health of Iraq, and under the direct supervision of the acting President of the University, Dr. Abbas Al-Daimi, the University, in cooperation with the Holy Karbala Health Department, organized a vaccination campaign against the COVID-19 Coronavirus (Dose A) For the first time) for her teaching professional and students specifically and all other staff on campus.

The campaign came to urge faculty and students to take the vaccine to reduce the outbreak of the pandemic and keep everyone safe. Several such initiatives were being carried out by the university in partnership with the Government Health department of Karbala to make its employees and students safe on campus. Apart from that, awareness-raising workshops for employees and students and pamphlets and mask distribution on campus were also carried out.
