Empowering Iraqi Agriculture: Warith Al-Anbiyaa University's Collaborative Endeavor with the Ministry of Agriculture to Elevate the Nation's Farming Landscape
Warith Al-Anbiyaa University is dedicated to enhancing the agricultural landscape in Iraq, through collaborative efforts with the Ministry of Agriculture. In pursuit of its commitment to provide community services, a dialogue seminar titled "The Current State of Agriculture and Livestock in the Holy Karbala and Its Legal Framework - Challenges and Development Opportunities" was held.
The event was attended by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, President of the University, the Director of Agriculture in the Karbala Governorate, the President of the Local Union of Agricultural Cooperative Associations, several members of the Iraqi Parliament, and Farmers.
The seminar, led by Dr. Nofal Al-Aaraji, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, focused on three main topics:
1. Agricultural Sector
2. Livestock
3. Legal Aspects
The seminar extensively discussed the significant neglect of the agricultural sector. Moreover, it emphasized the vital role of supporting feed producers and livestock breeders, recognizing the substantial setbacks resulting from the lack of support in terms of feed and livestock, which are pivotal components of various projects in Karbala, including poultry, table eggs, and fish production.
The seminar concluded with a series of recommendations, with the members of the Parliament expressing their dedication to addressing the obstacles that hinder agricultural and livestock development in the holy city of Karbala, and by extension, across the entire country of Iraq. Farmers were also active participants in this gathering, reflecting a comprehensive commitment to enhancing the nation's agricultural sector in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture.
